We would like kindly inform all the people interested in Aerobiology, that the next 11th European Course on Basic Aerobiology will take place in Vinnitsa, a city of Central Ukraine, 260 kms to the South of the capital of Ukraine Kyiv (2 hours 40’ by train), on July 4-10, 2013, in a joint collaboration of European Aerobiology Society (EAS), Vinnitsa National Pirogov Memorial Medical University (VNMU) and Ukrainian Association of Aerobiologists (UAA).
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 11th ECBA I invite you and members of your team to participate the Basic Course in Vinnitsa!

Fee for the Course Participation for the EAS and IAA members is €500 for non-members €550. Payment is available till May, 31, 2013.
Number of participants is limited by 25.
The fee includes:
- All course materials
- Meals (lunches, dinners, coffee/tee)
- Excursion/social event
- but NOT travel expenses.

The deadline for the Grant Application is April, 1, 2013.
The Course on Basic Aerobiology aim for the scientific and technical training of students, graduates and researchers for performing aerobiological monitoring. The Course Program includes lectures by leading European experts in Aerobiology, Practical Sessions and Social Tours. The Program will cover following main topics:
- Aerodynamics and dispersal of airborne particles
- Sampling technologies of bioaerosols and aeroallergens
- Pollen biology, structure, function, morphology
- Fungal spores: production and release
- Microscopic techniques in aerobiology
- Statistical techniques applied to aerobiology
- Plant taxonomy and identification
- The European Pollen Information system
- and the European Allergen Network
- Quality control in Aerobiological Analysis
There will be an emphasis on practical sessions covering aspects like operation of volumetric traps and sampling processing, pollen and fungal spore identification by optical microscopy or laboratory management of protocols.
In general content and topics will be the same as earlier courses with practical work and lessons about essentials of interlinked sciences. It is one week full of intensive work with a final examination.
The ESTC credits will be assigned to the participants together with the Course certificate.
Although some time in a Program is allocated for relax, networking and social event.
